Oregon bans Native American mascots in schools
Eight Oregon high schools will have to retire their Native American mascots after the Board of Education voted Thursday to prohibit them.
Political correctness is a stupid, idiotic thing and to somehow suggest that mascots and names are derogatory is in the end fairly silly. Are therefore the ‘Vikings’ automatically offensive to people of Nordic descent?
Find me a Viking who complains and I will listen to their argument.
