I think about all the instruction I give my children in the mornings over breakfast. All the kisses on their sleepy heads and the ‘I love you’s’ before they have even opened their eyes fully in the morning. I think about calling out to them as they leave for school- I tell them to ‘listen to your teachers! No pulling cards today (a form of discipline)! Stay together!” I think about the cheerful time when they get home and all come to my desk with kisses and hello’s, fresh wind in their (more…)

Oh. MY. GOSH! We now live in the land of Wishy Washy. In order to pamper the losers, we will trample upon the honor of the winners, see? So.. let me ask you, “Why should our children even try?”
This, of course, is just the miniature version of Progressivism across the world. No one can win. No one will lose. So… it is all one big hopeless joke. In comes depression, idleness, corruption and everything else that is vile in God’s eyes. I suppose they can all do heavy drugs to get that high of winning, huh?
Man was meant to strive. We are half animal/ half divine. We have words like, “hero”, “self sacrifice”, “honor”, “duty”, “elite”, “moral” and “winner” for a reason. We KNOW that being a mere face feeder, money grubbing, self serving, lying, cheating animal is a low way to live as humans. Mere survival is not something we put on a pedestal, is it? Our entire language is peppered with this notion of ‘higher’ ways to live and ‘lower’ ways to live…
We know to our very fibers there is this thing called ‘rising above our animal instincts”. This compulsion to be the kind of person who ‘does the right thing‘. Our collective soul as a society (more…)

A liberal commenter defended Obama today because he gives women a choice to abort or not. Here is my response to her: “Friend, you are seriously misinformed and misguided. Feminism has been used by the Progressives (and quite according to their long term play book) to completely undermine the family unit. The family unit has evolved for a very good reason, Friend. It is, literally, the most efficient way for a society to distribute resources & care to its young. No government can make the quick decisions with such a high level of quality as two parents can for their kids. When a society produces strong family cohesion, it flourishes for the simple fact that it is more efficient with its resources. Without a strong family unit, society has no choice but to rely on a powerful central government- in essence, SOCIALISM to care for the young. I don’t want to be a socialist. Sorry. (more…)

Premiums for family health plans hit $15,745, which is a modest increase from last year. In addition, the annual deductable continues to hover at around $1000/ year/family. We can look at this is several ways. Let me break it down:
First, while the number looks high, one must consider what even one surgery for one person WITHOUT insurance would cost. Probably around $15K. So for the average family of four, this isn’t a bad deal. One must also consider that we receive the BEST medical care in the world. We need not worry about dying in child birth- and we know our babies will receive the best care for any problems that may arise. A heart surgery will probably not end in death and post medical care (more…)

Oh, this is just rich (no pun intended…ok, I admit it, pun intended)! Only the O’s have increased their wealth by TEN TIMES in the last four years!!!! They stared as millionaires and are now millionaires ten times over. And they lambast RICH people? Wanna know why? Because their wealth doesn’t come from being a BUSINESS OWNER, it comes from their POLITICS. Victim politics. Race politics. Hate politics. And politics of DIVISION- ALL of it made them rich- even Obama’s victim biographies were about politics. They don’t hate rich people (au contraire!) They just hate business people. The medium & little ones. From the very wealthy ones, they will soak up every penny. (more…)

Friends, have you ever pulled your hair out trying to understand liberals & atheists? Does it make you crazy that they refuse to see their blatant hypocrisy? That they joke about raping conservative women, wish us death & misery, break windows & destroy our property, physically assault us, spit on us, scream at us- and yet, call US haters? That they call us bigots when we object to the very real violence perpetrated daily by Muslims on civilians every day as they mock Jesus & God who have never done a thing to them other than offer them everlasting life? Friends, I want to follow up on the story I wrote about a month ago about the problem I had with my pediatrician. To recap: Pediatricians begin grooming parents & kids at about 9 years old to leave the children alone with the doctor for a ‘few minutes’. Their ultimate goal is to get the parent completely out of the room for the entire exam by the time the child turns 13. At this point, they ask questions & give information to your children 100% behind your back and without your knowledge. And what kind of information do they give? Pediatricians have become political activists. They believe it is THEIR responsibility to INFORM your 12 or 13 year old that they have a legal right to obtain ANY kind of abortion (mid/late/partial- you name it) without needing to tell their parents. They also tell your kid that they can, at any time, obtain birth control & anti depressants without needing to tell their parents. They reassure them that if they do get a sexually transmitted disease, they can obtain treatment without needing to tell their parents. (more…)

I have been blogging as Short Little Rebel since about May of 2011. Most of my posts have been political in nature. It has been my mission to point out current events as a reflection of God’s divine plan and to help keep Christian eyes open to satanic influences in the world. To keep them from stumbling over the clever lies of the enemy. These articles have attracted their share of self proclaimed atheists- each with the aim of stinging me with their little insults. It has never worked. I laughed them off. I have also had my share of people ‘liking’ my articles and commenting with positivity & interest. (more…)

Last night, cuddling with my 11, 10 & 7 year old kids, I asked some casual questions about school. Specifically, history questions. Some comments of theirs in the past bothered me and I wanted to delve into the matter a bit. As I said on a previous post, “my antennae were wiggling.” Needless to say, my antennae were working perfectly, as usual. The Progressives have completely taken over all public schools. They are teaching our children to be ashamed of their country. Listen to this little conversation I had with my kids. I asked the following questions:
- What is the Constitution? The Declaration of Independence? The Bill of Rights?
- Who was George Washington? Thomas Jefferson? Paul Revere? John Adams? James Madison? Abraham Lincoln?
- What great things has the United States done for the world?
- What was WWI & WWII about?
- What was the Civil War about?
- Who are the Founding Fathers?
- Who bombed us on 9/11?
Their responses killed me. (more…)

It is sooooo important to take the time out of your day to photograph your family members! Especially as portraits. Time can not, will not ever flow backward! If you do not take the time, you will regret it the rest of your life. You don’t need a fancy studio or a fancy camera. You don’t need to go anywhere special. All you need is love for your family & a few tips. If you pay attention, you will find plenty of opportunities to immortilize your loved ones by capturing them in everyday activities. But you have to decide if you are going to take a portrait. If so, you need to think of a few things before you press the shutter. It is EASY to follow these simle ideas. Here are a few of my own photos. Click on each photo for a decription on how it was created. You can acheive these exact results with a basic digital camera and the free Google software Picasa. I also use Adobe Photoshop to clean up spots. But Picassa now has a great feature to do this. Sometimes I prefer their free ’band aid’ feature to expensive Photoshop!
