Someday, When Jesus Returns, We Will Do Wonderful Things

Singapore’s New Wonder of the World:  “Sky Park” opened last June.  Observe what Man can do:

Genisis 1:  26-27 “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Gensis 3:22 “And the LORD God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

I used to ask myself, “Why does God limit our lives because we ‘have now become like one of [Them], knowing good & evil’?  Let me ask you,  would you want Anthony Weiner to live forever?  God, in His great wisdom, knew that mankind could never resist to do evil.  Yes, he can do wonders.  But to let the truly evil live forever?  No.  God would not unleash that on the world.  So, mercifully, he only allows a certain time for all of us- good & evil alike- to live.

When I see a marvel, like Singapore’s “Sky Park”, I see how God made us in His image.  We can create- not on the same scale as God, of course.  But we sure can do wonders.  While I marvel at this structure, I am also saddened that it is for the wealthiest of the wealthy.  That is what humans are like.  God made EVERYTHING for every man, woman & child.  The greatest wonder He made for good & evil, rich & poor, beautiful & plain.  His generosity knows no bounds.  And this is the difference between Man & God.

I ask you, if Man can create this marvel, can he not solve any political problem?  Hunger?  Energy?  Space Travel?  Why do these simple limitations remain?

Motive is EVERYTHING in this world.  Right now, we Humans, can not seem to pull ourselves together to do Good in God’s eyes.  Because there is always a rotten apple or two in the mix.  But someday, someday, Jesus our Lord will come and He will rule from Jeruselem- a wise King, finally.  And the rotten apples will be gone.  And we can finally just get together and do the right thing.  Won’t we all sigh a breath of relief then?
