Why Are Liberals & Atheists So…Illogical?

Friends,  have you ever pulled your hair out trying to understand liberals & atheists?  Does it make you crazy that they refuse to see their blatant hypocrisy?  That they joke about raping conservative women, wish us death & misery, break windows & destroy our property, physically assault us, spit on us, scream at us- and yet, call US haters?  That they call us bigots when we object to the very real violence perpetrated daily by Muslims on civilians every day as they mock Jesus & God who have never done a thing to them other than offer them everlasting life?

I want to share something with you today, Friends.  Something that proves that God is the master of irony- and the master of Man.  That God understood exactly what he was doing when he sent us our KIng- not in his powerful glory, but as a man with no money, no prestige and no powerful friends.  In fact, he sent us a king that kneeled before peasants and washed their dirty feet.  What kind of king is THAT?!  And why make us do the same??  Here is why:

(I Corinthians 1:18-32)

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;

the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”[c]

20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[d]

See, God knows his creation very well.  He knew that providing a king in a manner that they expected would only beget more human arrogance.   Just one more mighty kingdom full of braggarts.   But he understands the human mind.  By sending the EXACT OPPOSITE of what mankind expected, he causes them such confusion!  The human mind likes things to make sense.  In fact, nothing will frustrate a person more than things that seem illogical.  We try to understand it more if it doesn’t make sense.  Jesus doesn’t make sense to people who reject God.  WE don’t make sense to people who reject God.  When we give up money, power, prestige and ego, we subject ourselves to mankind.  When we humbly serve when we could dominate, we allow our backs to be stomped on.

And they WILL stomp.  But this is where God gets them.  There is no satisfaction for them when they stomp us.  Because we had already bowed to them.  They hate that we did that and find it, frankly, unbelievable.   Illogical.  Makes ’em just crazy.   Just as they found it unbelievable that God’s Son would allow himself to be spat on, beat and crucified- and ALL FOR LOVE OF US!!   And they end up feeling like real schmucks inside.  Which infuriates them even further.  And thus, God grabs hold of their souls and causes a wretchedness of spirit that will not allow them any peace.  It is in this way that God brings people to him.  Through the curious mind of man and the human need to have spiritual peace.  Through weak things, he overwhelms the human who believes himself strong.

THIS is how God uses the lowly to defeat the strong.  God CHOSE this method because he understands humans very well.  Let us rejoice that God is in charge, my friends.  Let us continue to obey him.  He knows what he is doing.  You can bet your bottom dollar on it.

  1. I’ve argued, clarified, given historical examples and statistics till I’m blue in the face. No doubt some liberals simply don’t know the facts, but I believe most are sucked into a moral relativity that allows dishonesty in a discussion. They actually feel like they have gained something if they say anything at all. It is like arguing with a cartoons make their own reality. Meanwhile, the problems grow worse and worse.

  2. Silly! The rich and powerful didn’t (and still don’t) need a savior. The educated (those who would be originators, scribes or authors of these myths) knew that to quell despair and thereby inspire the illiterate and uneducated audiences, and consumers, of these tales, the hero would need to be a familiar.

    The Old Covenant (attributed by Hebrew fables to one Moses, et al.) with the God of War, Yahweh, was seen as a failure due to the impiety (lawlessness) of the forefathers. The defeated Jews of the Levant were scattered throughout the surrounding area (called the Diaspora), so a new covenant was needed. This was the impetus for these claimed, preached, and prophesied messengers (messiahs, intermediaries) with this deity, this God of War—Yahweh Sabaoth.

    I won’t go into the fact that the authors of these Epistles (those attributed to Paul, Saul, Simon or whomever) were not talking about an Earthly character, but a descending & ascending emanation of Yahweh except to note that no Gospel event, other than the crucifixion which is actually a platonic event (happened in their heavenly realm) is mentioned. It’s like talking about a football game and not mentioning the teams; or a bad relationship and not mentioning the others, or places of the events. Obviously there is no historical character in view.

    What you call the wisdom of some deity is actually the wisdom of authors, humans, who knew their audience. All 3 Abrahamic faiths are written with this propagandistic motif in mind: that includes Islam. And it is why Lucius Annaeus Seneca (d. 65CE) claimed, “Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.”

    Religious claims (when taken in context and not cherry-picked from “sacred texts” to suit preconceived notions) were (and are) political propaganda facilitating emotional manipulation for the politically detached (i.e. illiterate, superstitious, poorly educated), that is, it caused (and causes) those who otherwise couldn’t care less to support the aspirations of political power mongers, kings, tyrants, and the like. Think about it: Have the power mongers been concurred, or is it merely that the masses have been pacified into waiting for their supposed “next life” to be happy, free or whatever? Please wake up!

    • oooohhhh, here come the atheists! Oh! They HATE when I write about God. If you enjoyed this article, be sure to check out my article: “Why Atheists Make the Worst Scientists!” You demons will just squirm with anger on THAT one.! Good luck to you, Beachbum (nice name, there). May you find Jesus someday.
